Because even when I acess youtube and play any media with what I believe is Flash plugin (on Firefox) and PepperFlash (Chromium), the whole browser (regardless of Firefox or Chromium) becomes very slow and sometimes unusable. And I also tried Peppermint and it sluggished a bit too sometimes. With Ubuntu the experience was a bit the same. ![]() ![]() With Freya it was noticeably sluggish at doing normal tasks like opening Midori browser or even acessing the control panel. ![]() My experience has been positive even though I find my computer with lower perfomance under any Linux distribution compared to Windows 7 or 8.1 for example. Even though I found Elementary and Ubuntu, specially Freya, quite aggressive on resources. ![]() Also, i've tried the mainstream ones like #!, xubuntu, Ubuntu, Elementary. To begin with, I'm planning on switching to Linux even though i'm very noob at it and hopefully will learn a lot on the long run. TL DR: How to get proper Ubuntu/Linux video drivers for GMA 4500MHD?
